You are doing it WRONG... amazon

I have no idea how the recommendation system from amazon works, but I'm sure it could do waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better.

How many fans of the complex Ghost in the Shell series are also fans of Pokemon?
I would thought of them as separate crowds.
(Yes I've seen Pokemon, but I'm far from considering the remote possibility of getting the DVD set)

I am pretty sure Amazon uses collaborative filtering for these recommendations: that is, people who are interested in psp games buy spore, and people who have interest in anime, also buy pokemon?

Now the question is:
Why are you interested in psp games?

And also...
Did you buy GITS Stand Alone Complex Volume 3???

I have no idea why they thought I was interested in PSP games. And why didn't it used any of the many PC GAMES I've actually bought or browse as a reason for the recommendation?

No I don't have GITS I've rated the volume 1 (cause I saw it) but never 3.

Amazon is just nuts.
