The Wedding! :')

It was the day, September 2nd, the wedding was approaching.
I woke up to the sound of waltz, my brother and my soon to be sis-in-law were training for their dance showdown at the wedding. I do have a picture of that, but unfortunately I've been censored :( . I have a few pictures as I was having so much fun that I forgot to take them, and the only ones I have, they decide it is not good.

Anyways, after breakfast and waltz training, we went to do boring errands. The only thing worth mentioning is that it was raining a lot where I was, and there was the continuous worry that the rain might hit the wedding... I was proven wrong as the wedding went on during a very sunny afternoon.
Oh, and that I found the perfect T-shirt for my brother. No picture :(, but I hope soon my brother will use it and send me a pic of it :P.

OK, so Time for the wedding, I got in my fancy dress, and the cool Tie Gelareh bought me, it had Pepe Le Pew in it. Coolest most original Tie in the wedding, thanks to Gel, and we started receiving people at the chapell. Family first, a bunch of friends later, and time for the main event.
My brother walk towards the altar, followed by my parents, and then the bridesmaid and me...Aa lot of flashes through the process. And finally the bride herself. She walk down theaile with her mom, and I got to say, when he reached my brother I saw water in her eyes.
We had a few readings from the bible and the most "peculiar" one was from theapocalypses >:) My brother chose it, but he gave it to Pamela, our cousin,theoreticallyy to read it inSpanishh, but oh surprise! Inn the wedding it was in english.
After a few looks between her and the Father, and a "oops" from the later, my brave cousin decided she could read it in english.
And she did perfectly.
Now it was time to go closer to the altar were the rings were going to be blessed, and the "I do"s perform.
Time for my screwup, that apparently no one noticed :D

At some point Gelareh was giving the maid of honor her bouquet, and the Father made a "sign", which I took as come closer give me the rings

which I did,but just before I gave the rings, the ceremony continue and I realized "oops"
so after a gentle step backwards and pretend I was just stretching my legs, apparently no one saw it :D
I guess the attention was to the bride and groom and my ego is to large.

But that was it, at another time, I did gave the rings, the Father blessed them and they said the "I do"s.
BOOM, kiss, and now we are legally family .
MUSIC.

Whew, this is getting long again, I will have to leave the reception for the next blog.

My Bro's wedding Part I

On September 1st at 5:45 am I was woke up by my alarm.
It was the first of three days of Uberly-fun-extravaganza that was my bro's wedding... but of course at 5:45 am, I was not in the mood for anything.
Given a quick shower, I took my bag's (which I thought I had made full last night, but I was proved wrong later) and headed to the bus stop were they would pick me up to go to the airport, I look really strong carrying 2 big suitcases (which were completely empty) but none had to know that.
The journey to the airport and following flight to BWI was pretty uneventfully, though I must point out I got into those planes only 3 seats in a row, and are REALLY REALLY SMALL. I had to walk either with head completely tilt 90 degrees.

finally I arrived at Baltimore, apparently early cause my brother was going to kindly pick me up, but when I called he seemed surprised. But after 1 hour wait he arrived with my cousin Pamela who had come all the way from Colombia for my brother's wedding.

After the "hellos" and catching up on Pamela's adventures in France, we went to the place were the reception was going to be held.
This was at the Golf course of UMD. That given the "Ernesto" storm, was not too sunny, and it was a big worry for the Wedding tomorrow.
My brother and my new sister-in-law checked on a lot of things which I already forgot :( All I DO remember is that it was MY responsibility to turn OFF the music when I wanted everyone o leave... which I will talk more later... but anyhow a bunch of last day arrangements were done, and we headed to the church at UMD. It was REHEARSAL time. At this time I thought to rehearse was kind of unnecessary, I never thought that indeed I would messed up at the wedding :P, but we went ahead and rehearse our entrance, stands etc. That went pretty quick, and father Jon, left us to rehearse by ourselves.
I our rehearsal, we took most things as a joke and just had a good time.

Afterwards we had to split up, this was my bro's last day as a bachelor so we had to go, go to the bachelor party, right?
And so we did :P and we went and met all the members of our father's side that were in Washington at the time... It was WILD, we went to our aunt's house, and we ate lasgna with some icecream afterwards... Oh yeah.
Sarcasm a side, we spend some nice time, and I got the coolest photo out of a cousin's camera that take pictures in infrared ... I'm waiting him for me to send it so I can post it here.

And by the time we were back at home it was already the day of the wedding, so some little sleep before the big day

False Alarm, I thought Vertigo was giving a complete #1 as collected in trade paperback, but it is just the #1 comic, which don't tell much, but still you should check.
As far as it goes I know that Sandman, Fables and Y the last man are REALLY GOOD.

Lack of Identity

Time to buy a bike, I mean, even if I live a block away from my important buildings on campus, A BLOCK is too far away to walk.
Imagine, all those extra seconds I save by talking my bike, I'm now able to use them in more fulfilling things like

So you see, a bike was necessary, unfortunately, being in this small town with apparently only one decent place to buy a bike, meant that all students end up buying the bike there, which for starters, hadn't that much variety.

Activity Bonanza

OK Time to decide.

Yesterday the Academy Park at Purdue was filled with students and their associations. There were a bunch, and for my good fortune a bunch of geek ones.
Now unfortunately, "call outs" seem to be at the same time, so I have to choose carefully between the following:

First : Helping Paw (This one is the one that I'm joining for sure)
and since I'm hoping to still have some time for something else, I have to decide for this others.:

Anime club
Videogames group
Chinese Calligraphy
Dungeons of Purdue
SS Voyager (A bunch of sci-fi stuff but I'm more interested in their comicbook part)

and of course due to popular demand by my fans
The Ballroom Dance club.

No link to their websites as they are outdate, and the names are self-explanatory

I wanted to also go where the nice people would be (theoreticly there was an iranian club ... but they didn't show up, and their website is outdated for 3 years :P, and the only Korean group was a christian one... I ask, and they said their services were in Korean so no good for me)

So, which one should it be? Anime and Chinese so far would be my top choices, ballroom seems a PhD student MUST experience, and the others are geek stuff I'm sure I will enjoy as well.

Why West Lafayette might be me

So I go to the WEST Lafayette library, is just right arround the corner... a long corner, but relatively close.

I go looking to see if I can do like stynky and start ripping a comlete umankind literature into my hard drive, but after being HUGELY dissapointed at the Books on CD corner, I found some interesting things.
The library has a multimedia corner where you can take DVDs, music CD's and MOST IMPORTANTLY.
